MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) – A Neenah man has been arrested on suspicion of a fourth OWI offense after police in Menasha say he drove his motorcycle through a factory.
On Tuesday evening around 10 p.m. officers were called to Alliance Industries on Appleton Street where they say the 29-year-old man drove his Harley Davidson motorcycle up an access ramp and through the production areas.
They say he was reaching speeds of around 35 to 40 miles per hour and around fourteen workers were still inside the building at the time.
The man started to drive a forklift after he parked his motorcycle and continued to do so until a worker told him to stop.
Officers arrived on the scene as he was getting off the forklift and he was taken into custody after they detected the smell of intoxicants.
“This was a very dangerous situation that our people handled very well,” says plant general manager, Andy Kemp.
No one inside of the factory building was injured in the incident.
The Alliance Industries building stretches from Appleton Street to Racine Street, which is nearly two blocks.
