TOWN OF GIBSON, WI (WTAQ) – One of the individuals involved in Sunday’s motorcycle crash in Manitowoc County has succumbed to their injuries.
48-year-old Linda Griffey of Kewaunee was a passenger on one of the two motorcycles involved in the crash on Highway R at Old Y Road, near Mishicot.
A motorcycle driven by a 58-year-old Luxemburg man started to slow down when it was hit by another motorcycle, which was driven by a 67-year-old Kewaunee man that had Griffey as a passenger, according to state troopers.
Following the crash, she was taken to the hospital, along with the other two drivers, where she eventually passed away on Wednesday.
Heavy rain and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
None of the three individuals involved in the accident were wearing helmets.
