APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Crosswalks on College Avenue in Appleton are being replaced.
The $200,000 dollar project started Monday.
The crosswalks being worked on include the three crosswalks at College Ave. and Division St., the two north/south crosswalks at College Ave. and Superior St. and the two north/south crosswalks at College Ave. and Walnut St.
Only one intersection at a time will be closed and work on each of the three intersections will last between 7 to 10 days.
The project is expected to be completed by May 11.
Pending budget approvals, the city hopes to start replacing the east and west crosswalks next year.
This is the second year for crosswalk replacements downtown.
