BERLIN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A video of an apparent fight at Berlin High School that ended up being posted to Facebook is being investigated by Police.
The video shows one student hitting another in the head multiple times. It also shows the same student stomping on his head after he falls to the ground.
Police say the fight happened Thursday afternoon.
“High School Administration was immediately made aware of the incident and is working with the Berlin Police Department to ensure that the matter is thoroughly investigated. Upon completion, this matter will be referred to the Green Lake County District Attorney’s Office,” the department said in a statement.
The District said they are working with law enforcement and it is not a reflection of who they are as a district.
The Berlin School District takes this incident very seriously and is working cooperatively with local law enforcement in its investigation so appropriate disciplinary action can be taken. Because this involves minors, we cannot comment further nor provide identification of the two students involved.
It is important for the public to know that this is not who we are as a district nor is it reflective of the vast majority of our students who care about each other and about their education.
