NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – Coming soon to a store near you will be Spotted Cow in 24-can cases.
Additionally, that twenty-four-pack will feature beer, cans, and packaging made entirely in Wisconsin.
New Glarus Brewing Company announced on Tuesday the release of Spotted Cow in cans, which is being produced in conjunction with Menasha Packaging in Neenah, as they produce the new case boxes for the beer.
The packaging will be entirely Wisconsin-made, as the cans are being made in Fort Atkinson.
Deb Carey, New Glarus’ founder, is happy to work with local businesses:
“It’s more than $9 million of purchasing just for those raw materials alone. In addition to that, there’s also hops and barley and payroll and so we’re very proud to be part of the economic engine of Wisconsin as all manufacturers are,” Carey says.
Governor Tony Evers visited Menasha Packaging in Neenah on Monday to be present for the announcement.
“Rate Beer” ranked New Glarus as the 8th best brewery in the world in 2018.
