FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – The Fond du Lac Police Department is currently investigating reports of shots being fired in two separate locations of the City overnight.
Police were called to the area of 137 East 2nd Street at about 10:39 p.m. Thursday evening fora report of possible gunshots heard in the area.
At first, officers did not locate any evidence of shots being fired but discovered damage to a vehicle on the street in the area of 159 East 2nd Street while recanvasing the area Friday morning.
Police are also investigating an incident on Morris Street where shots were fired into a home.
The homeowner called police about 2 a.m. Friday morning stating he heard possible shots fired but did not see anything or find any type of damage at the time.
Officers and crime scene investigators returned to the homeowner’s residence at about 6:30 a.m. this morning when the homeowner found bullet holes inside his residence.
The home on Morris Street was occupied at the time, but no one was injured in either incident.
It is unknown if a vehicle was involved in either incident at this time or if the incidentsare related.
