Fire damage is visible on a house in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue in Grand Chute Dec. 27, 2022 PC: Fox 11 Online
GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A garage fire forced people from their home in Grand Chute Monday night.
Firefighters say they were called to the house in the 500 block of W. Sunset Avenue just after 6 p.m. A caller reported smoke and flames visible in an attached garage.
The homeowners were able to get out safely.
It took about 15 minutes to get the fire out. The fire itself was contained to the garage, but there was smoke damage elsewhere inside the house.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours ventilating the house, conducting overhaul operations and investigating.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
