Pulaski area bonfire victim Brandon Brzeczkowski PC: Fox 11 Online
PULASKI, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of the Pulaski-area bonfire victims is home just in time for Christmas.
Brandon Brzeczkowski had another skin grafting surgery on Dec. 14. Brandon was expected to be in the hospital for a day or two but that stay ended up being much longer. The pain was so severe, he ended up staying a week.
He also developed staph infections under his eye and both legs.
For the last couple of days, Brandon has been able to tolerate the pain enough to walk and even ride a bike with physical therapy.
Brandon will be back in Milwaukee for a checkup. His routine for a while will also include occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. He also needs bandage changes everyday.
Brandon is hoping to go to his grandparents for Christmas Eve and maybe even church, but must also be very cautious of germs.
Brandon was one of several people injured in that Shawano County bonfire in mid-October.
No formal charges have been filed yet.
