MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource) Former Senator Herb Kohl is providing a windfall of supplies for Wisconsin schools this year.
Kohl provided what he called a “flash fund” by fulfilling all the Wisconsin teacher requests on the online site DonorsChoose.org. In total, he donated approximately 500-thousand dollars for everything from school supplies and uniforms to technology and special needs equipment.
Teachers across the nation upload requests on the site for special projects or supplies needed that are not covered by school districts.
