BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities are looking for answers after thousands of dollars worth of tools were stolen from construction trailers throughout Brown County.
According to deputies, the thefts happened primarily on weekends, throughout the month of April, at construction sites in the town of Ledgeview and the village of Bellevue.
In all cases, forced entry was made into locked trailers and the stolen items include: sawzalls, nail guns, drills, chop saws, a Honda 3000 watt portable generator, hammer drills and other miscellaneous tools.
In one of the thefts, the power tools taken are identifiable by bright red and blue strips of paint on them.
The public is being asked by officials to be vigilant by reporting anything or anyone suspicious in their neighborhoods.
