TOWN OF SCHLESWIG, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities are saying that speed played a factor in a fatal crash that took place in Manitowoc County.
The crash happened in the 21000 block of Point Creek Road in the town of Schleswig just before 8 p.m. on Friday.
The driver, 27-year-old Kevin Wirth, lost control while driving on a curve and struck a tree.
He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say that Wirth was not wearing a seat belt.
