GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Greater Green Bay YMCA is adding a facility in Ashwaubenon, and will replace the facility in Allouez.
In Ashwaubenon, “The Ridge YMCA at Capital Credit Union” will be located on the third and fourth floors of the Capital Credit Union building, 1121 West Main Avenue.
The “adult wellness facility” will be available for adult YMCA members ages 19 and older, offering cardio and strength equipment, group exercise classes, personal training, and child watch while you work out. The space includes two locker rooms, each equipped with a sauna, whirlpool, and steam room.
The facility is expected open in Spring, 2023.
In Allouez, the YMCA will build a new facility at the 17-acre site of the current Broadview soccer complex, south of Highway 172, between East River Drive and Libal Street.
“This is to be the future site of a new full-service, destination YMCA facility, pending the completion of a successful capital campaign. Upon completion, the resulting facility will replace the YMCA’s current facility located at 380 Broadview Dr.,” a news release states.
A cost for the project was not disclosed.
The YMCA has leased the current facility from the village since 1984.
