DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – A trio of community events will take place in De Pere next week in order to help raise money for those affected by a fire that destroyed a historic building.
When the more than 100-year-old building on S. Broadway collapsed on April 24, twenty residents and fifteen businesses lost everything.
De Pere officials say, to this point, $22,000 has been raised through the De Pere Fire Relief Fund, while losses are estimated to be as much as $1 million.
The planned fundraising events include:
Love Your River, Love Your Community Benefit Cruise
- This is a 90-minute sunset cruise with Fox River Tours on Saturday, May 25 at 7 pm. All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the De Pere Fire Relief Fund. You can reserve a spot here.
Comedy For a Cause
- On Tuesday, May 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. the Green Room is hosting a special De Pere Fire Relief Fund Benefit Show for all ages. All ticket revenue will be donated to the De Pere Fire Relief Fund and tickets can be purchased in advance here.
Show Your Support with Dough
- A Take What You Want, Pay What You Want fundraising event is being hosted by Great Harvest Bread Company Co. on Wednesday, May 22 from 2 – 6 pm. All proceeds will go to the De Pere Fire Relief Fund.
