GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Memorial Day weekend means many people will be hitting the road this week.
It’s some good news for people planning on traveling.
“Gas prices have started to trickle down, kind of a nice movement for the holiday weekend.”
Patrick DeHaan of Gasbuddy.com says there has been a slow downward trend in prices and says that may be the story for the start of summer.
“Over the course of the summer, we should be able to maintain prices under $3.00 dollars a gallon.”
For this week, DeHaan says prices should stay about the same each day this week, so there should not be congestion at the pumps and rush to fill up early.
“There is really no reason to. I think prices overall are going to be somewhat stable.”
Two factors which impact prices are the situation between the U.S. and Iran and hurricane season in July and August.
