GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – On Tuesday, the man who killed Suzette Langlois because her boyfriend owed drug money was convicted.
46-year-old Anthony Kitchenakow entered an Alford plea to first-degree reckless homicide for the August 2016 murder at a Bellevue home, which means he doesn’t admit guilt, but believes the evidence is strong enough for a jury to find him guilty.
The charges for felon in possession of a firearm, physical abuse of a child, recklessly causing great bodily harm, and domestic abuse will be dismissed, but the plea deal still subjects Kitchenakow to the same penalties as a conviction.
Sentencing is set for August 14, but the plea deal does avoid a trial, which was previously scheduled to start on November 11.
52-year-old Suzette Langlois was found dead at a Bellevue home in August 2016 and Kitchenakow was charged in September 2018, after DNA tests tied him to a handgun magazine found at the scene.
