SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ) – A homeless man will likely face charges for allegedly stealing a sailboat and going for a ride while intoxicated.
Police say they found the man about four miles away from the Sheboygan Yacht Club Marina on Saturday.
Someone at the power plant also noticed a vessel that was going adrift and contacted police.
Police say the 51-year-old man was able to navigate through the marina without a collision.
The Coast Guard reported finding booze aboard and also noticed that he was not fimiliar with the $400,000 dollar boat.
The man was arrested on suspicion of OWI, burglary, theft over $10,000 and trespassing.
The keys were left inside by the owners.
