TOWN OF DALE, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities in Outagamie County need the public’s help in locating a missing mother and daughter.
55-year-old Jill Rousseau and her daughter, 21-year-old Jordan, of the town of Dale, have not been seen or heard from since Sunday.
Kelly Rousseau, Jill’s husband and Jordan’s father, held a news conference at the Oasis Wellness Center in Menasha Wednesday.
Rousseau says he has surveillance footage of who he assumes is his wife and daughter pulling into Jill’s office at the Oasis Wellness Center and leaving in the vehicle shortly after. Rousseau says it is the last place that they were seen.
The two may be driving a 2011 maroon and tan Ford Expedition King Ranch with Wisconsin license plate number: 650-PPM, which was the vehicle that was on camera.
Kelly said he did not see anyone get in our out of the vehicle, but did see it drive away with what he believed to be his daughter driving and his wife in the passenger seat. He says his daughter is short and the driver was short and drove with the seat upright as the video showed. He said the passenger had on a blouse that matched the one that she had.
Kelly said he was out of town for a funeral and returned home on Sunday. While driving, he got a hold of Jill over the phone and she told him she had to run and pick up some papers at the office.
When Kelly said he called her later that afternoon, she did not answer.
When Kelly arrived home, he said he noticed the chickens in the yard were loose, which would indicate his wife and daughter may be out running a quick errand and would be back soon.
He said he got suspicious when he tried to call Jill to find out where she was and found out she did not have her phone with her.
“He cell phone rang in the house, and all of a sudden I went, oh that is kind of weird, she did not take her cell phone.”
He says his daughter’s phone was also at home. He found it on the couch turned off.
Kelly said he called authorities the next morning to report them missing after he checked to see if the two had spent the night at the wellness center.
Kelly says his wife and daughter’s disappearance is strange and out of character for them. He describes his wife as an analytical woman and Jordan, a social butterfly.
Kelly said, he has his thoughts of what might have happened.
“My opinion is that they were abducted because nothing else makes sense.”
He said there have not been any purchases made with their account since their disappearance.
Anyone who knows where the two are may contact Sgt. Mike Fitzpatrick at (920) 832-5279. You may also call the Outagamie County Dispatch Center at (920) 832-5000 or your local authorities.
Investigators say Kelly is cooperating with the investigation and is not believed to be involved in his wife and daughter’s disappearance.
“At this point, I just want to know that they are alive. It is like the rug is pulled out from under you.”
