GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay police have released a description of the suspect they say is responsible for the armed robbery of a gas station Monday afternoon.
According to Green Bay PD, the incident happened around 5 p.m.
“The suspect that had entered the Pit Row Shell gas station in the 2000 block of University Avenue is described as a male, approximately 5’9″, and he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, with faded spots on the back,” explains Commander Kevin Warych with Green Bay PD.
Unfortunately, that’s the best description that the department can provide at this time.
“The suspect wore a mask, which is commonly referred to as the anonymous mask,” says Warych.
No shots were fired, but it’s being classified as an armed robbery.
“The suspect had entered the store, displayed a gun, demanded money, and was able to flee the store with an undisclosed amount of money,” he explains.
Police did not say what type of gun was used in the armed robbery.
Authorities were able to gather a vague description of the getaway vehicle.
“The suspect vehicle that we believe is involved, is a late model SUV, white in color,” says Warych.
