APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A street in downtown Appleton is back open, and now, with a different look.
On Wednesday, the barricades were removed from Appleton Street on the blocks north and south of College Avenue.
The two-block stretch was under construction since February as crews were converting the street into a two-way road.
S. Appleton/Oneida Street between Lawrence Street and Prospect Avenue remains closed as the city reconfigures the connection between downtown and the Oneida Skyline Bridge.
That project is set to last until October.
