TOWN of ONEIDA, WI (WTAQ) -A four-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl remain hospitalized after a Monday evening crash.
Outagaime County Sheriff Lt. Ryan Carpenter says shortly after 7 pm, they were advised of a two-car crash on CTH EE at CTH C in the Town of Oneida.
A 39-year-old male from Green Bay was driving a Chevy Suburban eastbound on CTH EE and failed to stop at a stop sign.
“We found that the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated.
Sheriff Officials also discovered that the man had a connection to all three kids.
“He was the father of the 4-year-old and 3-year-old and for the 6-year-old, he was the guardian.”
The Suburban was struck by a pickup truck, driven by a 58-year-old male from the Town of Dale that was northbound on CTH C. He was not injured.
All three children were in the Suburban. Two were transported by helicopter to a local hospital with serious injuries.
“The children are still alive so that is obviously a good thing,” said Carptenter. “Some horrible choices were made that are going to affect these children’s lives for quite a long time.”
