MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) – The name of the Neenah police officer who shot a man during a search warrant on Tuesday has been released by the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
Officer Christopher Gorden is an 11-year-veteran who was serving a search warrant for an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
43-year-old Shawn Blowers of Menasha is the man who was shot and died from injuries.
The Department of Justice says Blowers confronted officers with a knife.
Gorden has been placed on administrative leave, which is the department’s policy.
