GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A woman charged with perjury in connection with the investigation into the murder of Victoria Prokopovitz has pleaded not guilty.
Authorities say that Kathryn Friday was dating James Prokopovitz when his wife, Victoria, disappeared in 2013.
He was charged with her murder earlier this year, even though Victoria’s body has never been found.
A secret John Doe hearing was held during the investigation.
No trial date was set and Friday returns to court on September 5 for a pre-trial conference.
James Prokopovitz was the last person to see his wife, Victoria, on April 25th, 2013.
Investigators say that Victoria was reported missing, while her purse, cell phone, and ID were all at her home in Pittsfield.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 23.
