The Milwaukee Bucks responded to their first loss of the season by putting in 10 extra minutes in Oklahoma City Wednesday night, beating the Thunder 136-132 in double overtime. Monday night, the Bucks run of 9 straight wins to the start the season was derailed by the Atlanta Hawks. With a little more travel, Head Coach Mike Budenholzer decided to rest Giannis Antetokounmpo’s sore knee and Jure Holiday with a mild ankle sprain.
Enter Jevon Carter. The point guard put up a career high 36 points while dishing out 12 assists in carrying the Bucks to the win. Brook Lopez added 24 points with 13 rebounds and number one draft pick Marjon Beauchamp poured in all 19 of his points after halftime.
The Bucks held a double digit lead in the 4th quarter before the Thunder rallied, thanks to a game high 39 points from Shea Gilgeus-Alexander. Milwaukee maintains the NBA’s best record at 10-1 and they’ll stay on the road playing the Spurs in San Antonio on Friday night.
