MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Manitowoc police are looking for the public’s assistance with a dog bite incident.
The Manitowoc Police Department responded to a report of a dog bite incident at 3:50 p.m. Monday at Blue Rail Park. The incident happened along the walkway to the fenced-in dog area.
Police say the victim was walking by when he was bitten by a white/black-colored dog. The victim’s injury required medical attention.
After the bite, the dog, a second dog and the owner fled the scene.
The dog was described as possibly an adult border collie or Australian Cattle dog type breed.
The owner was described as a white man with light-colored hair, wearing a blue/green-colored jacket and tan-colored pants.
The vaccination status of the suspect dog is unknown.
