APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Thousands are still without power after severe weather wiped through Northeast Wisconsin over the last couple of days.
Now the Red Cross is setting up a cooling and charging station at the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, 3030 Goodland Drive.
Officials say the station will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There will also be refreshments available.
Other counties and towns have followed suit.
The Red Cross will be at the Mishicot Fire Station, 214 S Main St. and at the Waupaca Expo Center, 1222 Fulton St.
They will also have refreshments and will be open until 8 p.m.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department, the Expo Center will also have showers available for people.
The Village of Wrightstown has also stepped in to help residents.
The village is available to charging and cooling, while also offering people to refrigerate any food.
People can bring their food in containers, with your name on it, to the Village hall where they will have a refrigerated trailer.
Travis Coenen, the Village Administrator, said people can call him or the Village hall if they have flooding issues, and they will get someone to assist.
