FOX VALLEY, WI (WTAQ) – A registered sex offender is now facing federal child pornography charges stemming from crimes in Wisconsin and California.
31-year-old Cort W. Davis of Rochester, New York allegedly produced pornography of a minor in California in early May 2018 and then brought those images to eastern Wisconsin later that month, where he produced child pornography of a second minor.
Investigators found images that depicted a child under the age of 12.
Davis was convicted in 2015 of attempted possession of a sexual performance of a child under the age of 16 in Monroe County, New York.
An arraignment has been set for Davis on July 29.
According to court documents, the Appleton Police Department and the Grand Chute Police Department assisted in the investigation.
The indictment does not specifically say where in eastern Wisconsin the crimes took place.
