GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Green Bay Packers are selling bandannas this year as part of their annual Salute to Service campaign.
The bandannas are being sold to benefit Patriot K9s of Wisconsin. It’s a Wausau-based organization that trains service dogs and matches them with veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other effects of their service.
The bandannas are being sold for $9.99, with $5 of that going to Patriot K9s of Wisconsin.
Fleet Farm announced it will match the total raised from bandanna sales.
The Packers are also holding a variety of events to benefit veterans during Salute to Service month, which is November.
Running back Aaron Jones, the son of U.S. Army veterans, is the team’s spokesman for the Salute to Service effort.
