GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Members of Green Bay’s parks committee want to know how many deer are at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary before it votes to allow bow hunting there.
As FOX 11 first reported Tuesday night, neighbors are upset with the amount of deer in the area.
They say the deer are causing vehicle crashes and feeding in people’s yards.
They also say there isn’t enough to eat for the amount of deer at the Sanctuary.
The parks committee voted to have city staff count the deer in the sanctuary, establish a target number, and explore other alternatives to bow hunting to manage the herd.
