GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – “We are joining forces with the goal of being stronger together.”
Bellin Health and ThedaCare announced a big partnership on Thursday.
It’s another step towards a mission that started in 2008. The two organizations are now creating the region’s largest and most comprehensive heart care team.
“Everybody has a heart and everybody has a heart that is either healthy or not so healthy.”
To enhance access for those living in Central and Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Bellin Health and ThedaCare announce a partnership with the vision of creating the region’s largest and most comprehensive heart care team.
“We are going to be combining and collaborating around one large cardiovascular program, Andrea Werner, VP of the Heart and Vascular Center at Bellin Health says. “We are going to have one big team.”
She says that means about 50 cardiology providers will cover nine hospitals.
“That will include physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.”
The goal will be for the team to become more specialized and bring in new procedures and opportunities to their patients.
“Patients that don’t have access to high-quality affordable health care will have access.”
The partnership creates a single, collaborative team of providers with a commonadministrative leadership structure to leverage the quality and expertise of both entities, andalign around a goal of helping people live healthier lives through patient-focused,comprehensive cardiovascular care.
“Given that heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death for men and womentoday, our communities deserve the most extensive team of cardiology physicians, surgeons, advanced practice clinicians and other professionals,” said Imran Andrabi, MD, President andCEO of ThedaCare. “By combining the talent and resources of our two organizations, patientsand families will have access to highly specialized cardiovascular care experts and advancedtechnology.”
