NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Neenah Police Department has released video of an accused killer, who is still on the loose tonight.
We’ve also learned the identity of the man who was shot and killed during a bar robbery.
Neenah police say, Kevin Hein, 59, was killed at Short Branch Saloon on Monday morning. Hein was known as “Hollywood,” by many in the community.
His killer still hasn’t been caught. But now there’s video of the man police believe pulled the trigger.
The videos show the suspect and the getaway car. One of those videos was shot on a cell phone inside the bar in the moments surrounding the shooting.
In the recorded video, shot from inside the Short Branch Saloon, the accused killer is seen putting his sunglasses and face mask on outside the bar.
It’s not clear if the video was taken before, or after police say the suspect robbed the place and shot and killed Hein.
“We, at the police department, are not going to stand for this kind of violence in the city,” Neenah Police Department chief of police Aaron Olson said. “Our investigators are going to work tirelessly to make sure that this person is taken into custody and put behind bars.”
Police say the man is about six feet tall, with an average build.
He’s believed to have short hair but maybe bald or balding, with a possible head or face injury.
“Please remain vigilant; this person is armed,” Olson said. “If you see anything suspicious, do not confront this person.”
A second video shows the suspect driving away from the bar in a dark, four-door car.
It is last seen going south on Harrison Street.
Neenah Police Officer Stuart Zuehls says this case is the highest priority for the department and they are already receiving a lot of tips to follow up on.
