BLACK CREEK, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The community continues to show support for the families of the Diemel brothers.
A benefit was held in Black Creek, raising money for the children of Nick Diemel. He left behind four children between the ages 18 months and 17-years-old. Hundreds of strangers and business from all around the world pitched in to help.
A family friend of the Diemels shared why she put together this event.
“I had the idea to help raise money for the children. Lisa is a really good friend of mine and to be a single mom and the expenses that come with it basically just wanted to help any way I could with the children and their everyday needs,” said Cara Krull.
The Diemel brothers disappeared in July. Officials say the two were at Garland Nelson’s cattle farm to collect $250,000 Nelson owed them. The complaint claims Nelson killed the brothers, burned their bodies, and hid them in a manure pile.
