KOHLER, WI (WTAQ) – The Kohler Co. has notified 90 employees that their jobs cannot be guaranteed as the company moves one of the assembly lines of the Engines division.
According to a letter sent to state Workforce Development officials, any layoffs would begin around January 13th.
The company says no one has been laid off so far since the move was announced in September.
While the company says it is working to find employees other jobs within the company, its letter warns that “certain sectors of the economy have slowed, including housing, impacting the number of open positions in other Company divisions.”
Kohler says other areas of the Engines division manufacturing operation will not be affected right now.
