GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — It’s Small Business Saturday and the Green Bay Department of Community and Economic Development has some new merchandise inspired by the city.
Development Director Kevin Vonck says the department’s in-house team put together the designs which feature maps, local sayings, and city logos on everything from t-shirts to phone cases.
“It’s really hard to find merchandise that just says ‘Green Bay’ on it that didn’t have a certain logo attached to it,” Vonck said referring, of course, to the universally known Packers logo.
They’re calling it the “Green Bay Swag Shop”. You can find it on the city’s website at greenbaywi.gov and online here.
“There are designs that we think really capture the essence of the city,” said Vonck. “There are some maps, there’s an old city logo…”
A selection of items will be on display in the former Schauer and Schumacher building downtown as well.
