GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Menominee tribal member is being indicted in a pair of alleged sexual assault cases.
Federal prosecutors say in June, 37-year old Peter Awonohopay had nonconsensual sexual contact with a female. A separate indictment accuses Awonohopay of engaging in sex acts with a minor between the ages of 12 and 16 on two occasions in 2018.
He faces up to four years in prison for the first case, and between 10-30 years for the other.
