GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A contract extension for Green Bay Schools superintendent Michelle Langenfeld has been approved by the school board on a 6-1 vote.
But the next one may not go so smoothly.
School board member Ed Dorf wants to have a series of district benchmarks placed in the next review.
Something that would gauge progress in specific areas.
“Things need to be broken down to performance standards…..something that we can hold that superintendent too.”
Things like Community Relations, Open Enrollment, and Climate & Culture.
“The issue at Washington certainly was a major flashpoint.”
Dorf is talking about claims from a former teacher at Washington Middle School that conditions there were unsafe.
He says specific metrics of the benchmarks will be hammered out next.
“There must be goals, measurable goals in these areas established. That’s going to be down on paper. If it’s not down on paper already then it will be very soon.”
The Superintendent’s contract runs through the 2020 school year.
