FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – A Fond du Lac High School teen has been charged with making a terrorist threat for allegedly writing a threatening note laced with racial slurs.
17-year-old Austin Hill, made an initial appearance Tuesday.
Bond was set at $2,000 cash.
He returns to court January 26 for a preliminary hearing.
According to the criminal complaint, a staff member found a note in the hallway on January 11 that contained racial threats and the line “Going to shoot the school up tomorrow 6th period 12:30.”
A student later identified Hill as the author, who admitted writing it.
The complaint says Hill wanted to get out of school and did not intend to carry out the threats.
