GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man convicted of sexual assault for reaching down a woman’s pants and grabbing her was sentenced to five years in prison.
Di’Anthony Rowe was previously convicted of second-degree sexual assault for the Oct. 1 incident at an apartment building in the 100 block of E. Walnut Street.
Rowe, 20, was also placed on extended supervision for five years at Friday’s sentencing by Judge Tammy Jo Hock. He also must register as a sex offender for 15 years.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim said she was talking with Rowe when he reached into her pants and grabbed her. She then punched him, and he ran off.
Rowe told police he was reaching for her wallet to rob her — even though surveillance video shows her wearing a purse and he never attempts to grab the purse, the complaint states.
