MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ) – A 46-year-old Marinette man was killed Friday morning when he was hit by a train.
Police say Jeffrey Lewis Clark was walking his dog at the railroad crossing at State Street north of Sherman Street around 1:45 a.m. when the crash happened.
This is near Marinette City Park.
Investigators say train operators saw Clark between the crossing gates, but could not stop the train.
Clark’s dog was being treated for injuries.
