VINLAND, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fund has been set up to benefit a family who lost their baby when a semi crashed into their house.
Solutions Recovery Inc. of Oshkosh started the fund for the baby’s parents, Jasmine Mendoza and Marty Stechner. Solutions Recovery executive director Trevor Fenrich tells FOX 11 the community reached out to the organization for help because of its experience in setting up fundraisers.
You can donate to the fundraiser online.
Another way to donate is sending checks/donations to:
Solutions Recovery
Attn: Mendoza/Stechner Fund
621 Evans Street
Oshkosh, WI 54901
Make checks payable to: Mendoza/Stechner Fund
The fundraiser has a current goal of $100,000. The nonprofit organization ensures that 100% of the donations raised will go to the parents Mendoza and Stechner.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says the semi driver was a 63-year-old man from Little Chute. His daughter has told FOX 11 he was “mentally torn up from the situation.”
