ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Ashwaubenon Public Safety officials released more information about an underage drinking party on January 1 that led to the arrests of three people.
In a news release Monday, authorities say they were called just before 11 p.m. last Friday to the area of True Lane and Morris Avenue for a report of a possible fight between 20 to 25 people. This led officers to 2080 S. Ridge Road.
APS says that four nights prior, there was a weapons call to the same address where it was reported a 16-year-old boy was held up at gunpoint, beaten with brass knuckles, and robbed of cash. During that incident, it was said that the gun was fired at least twice. Officers gathered information that there was possible gang involvement.
Then on Friday night, officers arrived to find one person dropping a gun while being chased. A K9 found the gun and some ammunition. The dog also smelled illegal drugs, and an officer found drug paraphernalia.
That officer was also told that a person with a gun was monitoring one of the doors to the house.
While the SWAT team was not sent to the scene, one of the team’s vehicles was used, along with vehicles from Ashwaubenon and Brown County agencies, to help process suspects.
A 21-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest, an 18-year-old was arrested on a probation/parole violation and a 17-year-old was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
Several other people were also given tickets.
The investigation is ongoing.
