GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The U.S. Coast Guard says they will start breaking up ice on the Bay of Green Bay Thursday.
Coast Guard officials say the ice-breaking will likely take place in areas which are popular with recreation enthusiasts. They include the Fox River, Green Bay & Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal and other areas.
If you plan to head out onto the ice, you’re asked to keep away from shipping channels and charted Lake Carriers Association track lines.
