MARSHFIELD, WI (WTAQ) – For the second time in a week, a big load of stolen Wisconsin cheese has been found intact.
Marshfield Police say a tip led officers to a warehouse in the Town of Grand Chute, where 41,000 pounds of parmesan worth $90,000 were located Thursday.
Officials say a semi-truck picked up the cheese two weeks ago from WOW Logistics in Marshfield, but it never arrived at its expected location west of Chicago in Elgin, Illinois.
Earlier this week, $70,000 worth of parmesan were found intact in Milwaukee, after it was stolen last Friday from a warehouse in Germantown.
In both cases, the stolen cheese was recovered away from the semi-trucks which transported them — and Marshfield Police say they’re checking out several leads on possible suspects.
