SUAMICO, WI (WTAQ) — A busted water main has been fixed in the village of Suamico, but residents will still need to boil their water for another 18 hours.
According to Brown County Emergency Management officials, the water main break was in the area of Velp Avenue and Harbor Lights Road.
Late Thursday morning, village leaders said that the main had been repaired and that water service will be restored to 12 homes. However until tests on the water can be completed, residents must still boil their water.
From the earlier alert, do not drink the water without boiling the water first. Bring all the water to a boil for 1 minute, let it cool before using, or drink bottled water.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for making ice, drinking, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.
