GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A Green Bay man has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from a food delivery driver Sunday night.
Police say 23-year-old Deandre D. Godbolt is being jailed on charges of theft, criminal damage to property and trespassing.
Godbolt confessed to the theft, according to police, that happened at 1356 Elm Street around 8:20 p.m.
Police have said Godbolt allegedly called and asked for food to be delivered to the house he robbed. The suspect then distracted the victim and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim’s vehicle.
Godbolt is also been questioned about the robbery at CVS pharmacy, at 930 Main Street, less than an hour before that.
At this time, police do not believe that they are related. The robbery investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are also reminding all delivery drivers to carry small amounts of cash and encourage all customers and business owners to have customers pre-pay their orders to eliminate cash from being exchanged at the time of sale.
