GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Those fans on the Green Bay Packers’ season ticket waiting list are getting a bit of help from the team.
According to a release Friday, the Packers say they’re making 1,000 more seats available for season tickets. Those seats are coming from the lottery system for Brown County residents.
The team says the number of tickets available through the lottery is being reduced from 4,000 to 3,000.
Packers officials say some county residents have elected not to buy tickets when their names have been chosen in the lottery.
Currently, the waiting list for Packers season tickets is over 123,000 names.
The Packers are also sending out invoices this week to Brown County residents whose names have been selected in this year’s lottery. Tickets cost $95 each and payment is due April 6.
Those who send payment will find out in June which game they will receive tickets for; those who receive tickets to preseason games will be refunded $50 per ticket.
