LIBERTY GROVE, WI (WTAQ) – The body of a man was found in a vehicle pulled out of Lake Michigan in Door County Friday.
Officials say the vehicle is believed to be owned by missing Illinois man, Earnest Moore.
87-year-old Moore was last seen by family members leaving a doctor’s office in Illinois on Nov. 16, 2015.
Moore was seen hours later on video using his credit card to buy gas at PJ’s of Door County, just south of Sturgeon Bay, in the early morning hours of Nov. 17.
The vehicle was found about 50 yards north of the Northport Pier in the Town of Liberty Grove, approximately 16 feet of water, deputies say.
Cause of death and positive identification are pending an autopsy.
Officials say foul play is not suspected.
