GREENLEAF, WI (WTAQ- WLUK)-A golf course restaurant in Brown County is reaching out to the family of a missing teen.
Last weekend, 17-year-old Reedsville High School student Jevon Lemke went missing in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
During the Good Friday fish fry at Wander Springs Golf Course, donations for the family were being collected.
Lemke’s mother Carrie Holton said the community support has helped her get through rough days one week after the Reedsville High School student went missing in the water in Alabama.
“It’s amazing, I would have never expected this type of response,” Holton told FOX 11.
The response was big, as many heard about it and decided to make dinner plans at the restuarant to donate to the cause.
Lemke worked at the golf course for two seasons.
“I’m not from here and I’ve not been here long, for them to care as much as they do, that tells you that Jevon has impacted this community as well as Brillion and surrounding areas,” said Holton.
You can still make donations by contacting Wander Springs Golf Course at 1-800-465-3499.
