DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A hiker became the first woman to complete all 11 National Scenic Trails Monday.
Arlette Lann, originally from Holland but now lives in Massachusetts, finished her record setting hike at the Ice Age trail in Potawatomi State Park.
Now that she’s finished this goal, she says there’s still plenty more to accomplish.
“There’s still local stuff I want to do in the Whites, and there are trails in Europe, there’s still trails out in the U.S.,” said Lann.”There’s always stuff, stuff to rehike, the Arizona trails, they have gorgeous trails, it’d be great to hike again. Lots of stuff to discover still.”
With all 11 National Scenic Trails together, Laan has hiked around 19,000 miles.
