GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)- Green Bay Public Works are tackling the latest batch of severe weather a little different.
Due to freezing rain and sleet, the department installed chains on the trucks to help gain a little traction.
Director of Operations Chris Pirlot says they are made an adjustment to their pregame gameplan.
“We are kind of in hurry up and wait mode, because we can’t pre brine the roads because of it being so wet. We expect that on Sunday we are going to have to be doing some plowing.
Pirlot said as many as 110 trucks could be sent out to clear up the roads, with many of those crew members working about 10 hours.
