ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – If it felt like this weekend’s snowstorm had a little more snarl than is typical….you’re right.
Timm Ulman, with the National Weather Service office in Ashwaubenon says by Sunday afternoon, Green Bay area snowfall measured more than 23 inches.
“Easily almost doubled our April record, and that’s actually overall number two in the Green Bay area.”
Ulman says the system played out much the way it appeared it would in the hours leading up to the start of the storm on Friday.
The good news is …
“Towards the 40’s by next weekend. So we’re melting a lot of this off again as we get through the week and towards next weekend.”
But….
“The bad news we’re looking at another system coming in on Wednesday.”
But that won’t have nearly the punch or snow totals that we saw this weekend.
“Probably with everyone else here in hoping that we’re pretty much done and heading for spring this time.
And while we’re all hoping this the last gasp of winter Ulman is still a meteorologist……
“You know there’s still such as thing as May snowfall.”
